On the one hand a pity, but great experience you get to make up for it. Many of us will give our left <peeep> to be in your shoes. :D

Paul

This was not even a dream come true, as our sport operates on an amateur level. Only French and Russian Aerobatic pilots have this luxury of government support.

For the rest of the world we have to work in order to afford our passion of fly aerobatics. When this opportunity comes knocking one is an absolute idiot if you do not grab this opportunity with both hands. Originally I suggested a longterm relationship to the company for consistency at airshows, what followed blew my mind. Competition participation at various European Aerobatic Nationals, backed with coaching from the best aerobatic coach in the world, public appearances and multiple airshows per month during their season. I will be spending more time in Europe than SA as of next week.

Commitment to your goals will be rewarded in the long run. Most importantly, if you do not believe in yourself, no one else will.

My motto: One has a 100% failure rate in every risk or opportunity you do not take.

We disassembled and packed the Genpro on to the truck in Hungary routed for Locarno in Switzerland. Lodrino is the venue for the Swiss Nationals where I will be displaying the Genpro this Saturday on request of the Swiss Aerobatic Association.

6am Friday morning we fly from Budapest to Milan to pickup the car rental driving to Lodrino which is only 1 hours drive north into Switzerland.

The Genpro is currently on its way to Locano Switzerland for assembly. This will be my base practice on Friday. Early Saturday morning I fly around the mountain to Lodrino where the National Aerobatic Contest is taking place.

Price will be in line with EXTRA330SC or other similar category.

The Genpro was received with great respect from all.

The video does not reveal the true flight as the camera man was standing to close and never video an aerobatic flight before.

After the 4 Freestyle flights I was up next.

I flew the warmup/safety figures and then with throttle closed with lots of back firing noise I disappeared behind hangar and tree line with every expecting some engine troubles. The next view of the Genpro was coming past the crowed line at 55Kn at about 1/4 throttle. Then full power and pull to 45 with full roll and so I build up the speed to normal and slow again combining Aresti and Freestyle flying.

The display was time limited and we learned a lot from this event. Next displays will be more intense. Total time on type is around 6 Hours and I have not even scratched the surface yet. Finding the total flight envelope is only done with time in the seat.

After landing and taxing onto the apron every person at that airfield from the pilots, judges and public were applauding. I have never experienced such an appreciation before. This event and this incredible venue was the best day of my flying to date.
