Optolyth 30x75 spotting scope

Unread post by 87Juliet »

So this is probably the wrong section for this but I'm looking for some information.

Somehow I've gotten my hands on an Optolyth 30x75 spotting scope. I cant find much apart from for sale ads with a Google search, BUT if the ad is current then anywhere between Euro450 and Euro500. These in fair to good condition. The one i have is virtually brand new in it's leather case. Seems to be an older piece of kit and not exactly modern.

Anyone know anything about these things and what they're used for? I'm sure for hunting and shooting, maybe birding... any good for astronomy?

TIA

Pics are from Google, mine is exactly the same thing

Looking at the colour of the casing it's either useful for military or hunting.

Packing up house and came across this scope. I havent looked at it for years and it's therefore pointless hanging on to it. Anyone want to make me an offer around the R3000 mark? Will cross post to the classifieds.
