With all of this happening and Elon in the news anybody watching the most excellent "Mars" show on National Geographic, Ch181 Sunday evenings at 20:00.

It's come around for another round quite brilliant. Some pieces on Elon Musk and his programs and a split between today and a few decades later on Mars, highly recommended.
Straighten up and fly right!

Dunno, looking out of my window - nothing.
Must be the wrong window so I suppose that means "yes".

Apollo, DStv is a swearword in our household. Interestingly enough, the Mars series is available for free (you get about an hour's long daily "Preview Pass") via streaming from NatGeo, from just about anywhere on the planet, except for Africa. A "Geographic Restriction" is in place to prevent us Saffers from watching online. (Thanks to NoChoice's influence I suspect). However, nothing a VPN and killing Cookies can't fix

Look for S2: "Inside SpaceX" at https://www.nationalgeographic.com/tv/mars

SE, there is a launch window but this is just the time period on a given day during which the rocket must be launched in order to reach its intended target. If it isn't launched within a given window, it has to wait for the next day's window. The *launch period*, which is the period in which a particular mission must be launched, can be a real deal-breaker though.

Hi SA,

Really interesting thread, Will be following the launch closely as i do with all the launches.

For all here, with the amount of Spacex launches nowadays its hard to keep track with them and the delays so go and download this App to keep you up to date or reminded of delays. https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... w&hl=en_ZA

Cheers

Wednesday's launch attempt of Spaceflight SSO-A from Vandenberg Air Force Base is currently no-go due to extreme high-altitude winds that violate Range requirements. Vehicle and payloads are healthy. We will announce a new launch date once confirmed with the Range.

Eish. I'm on my 3rd "swear jar" already due to the non-launches (The missus makes me put a buck in a jar every time I utter a "restricted" word )
