vj, probably good that the nuking was panned as a really, really bad idea

For all we know there is actually sentient life on Mars (as so excellently portrayed in this oddball 1998 ad for HP printers which, to me, is one of the greatest ads ever produced. Haven't been able to find a better quality vid unfortunately)

Going swimmingly, UD! After a lengthy testing and proving period things have finally moved on to the commercial release of some of the software and data as the first three formation-flying satellites have very successfully demonstrated the remote identification, characterisation and geolocation of marine RF signals, including VHF, EPIRB, AIS and radar emissions. The processed data is also being made available in a format compatible with common GIS software tools, so the future looks very bright :)

It is now a done deal that in the not too distant future a bunch of additional satellites will be launched (contracts already in place to build the new generation of satellites) to service even more sophisticated payloads and broaden the detection and geolocation capabilities to cater for other applications.

So, I’m almost out of the dogbox with the missus (will only be able to leave the dogbox when she sees some real income resulting from my um, high-flying pursuits )
