He suggests that we should read the full transcript of the emails to put his response into context.

WTF?!? His response lowers him, and by default, his organization to the same level as the people he is complaining about.

The difference is he should know better.
If this was Miles' tone with a paying, albeit a belligerent customer, imagine the tone that must have been assumed when communicating with the CAA. Then we ask why the situation was allowed to escalate to the level it did between CemAir and the CAA.

Miles,

That is quite surprising …...

We have at least a couple of people claiming they have not had refunds (or do not want replacement flights) over the last period.

Amongst others - RiNCEw1ND / love2fly / nomie and expilot all complained on this forum...…..
One would assume they would take you up on your offer …..

Miles I have called your offices and e-mailed twice yet only received a "canned" response.
Do you undertake that if I send you info via PM you will personally attend?

Well isn't this interesting. All the noise but when help is offered...…

I see on Facebook that Ica seems not to be such little angel after all. Part of a few hundred million rand Eskom corruption scandal. She has lots of PR advice for Cemair but Deloitte's image ain't doing so well.

Maybe I should send her a few tips on how to do things.

Interesting! Are you suggesting she was personally part of that?

No suggestion that she is part of it however her employer does not appear to the clean house that she portrays.

Applying that principle fairly we would then need to say that all the SAA pilots are tainted by the corruption scandals surrounding the airline, no?

Which is obviously not the case, I hasten to add ...

She calls herself an "Associate Director" and works at Deloitte's Consulting which is the division referred to in the Eskom document. Seems unlikely to not be involved. Afterall Deloitte Consulting is not that big and she and Eskom are both Joburg based.

She is apparently "focused on 'making an impact that matter'". Whatever that might mean.

Seriously people, stop making this personal and attacking the person and her employer.

Hi Miles
I will take you up on your offer. Booking ref No. AAQHAJ cancelled by CemAir on 12 Jan 2019
Details of flight: HDS - JNB 5Z0889 Cost of Ticket ZAR 1624.83
I did receive an email from CemAir on 29 April 2019 stating.
I noticed that your booking has been logged for authorisation by the finance department, but unfortunately it has not been approved as yet.
However since then nothing from CemAir.
I look forward to receiving my refund which has been outstanding for 10 months.

550 mostly negative comments thus far to her posting on Facebook. For some, any PR is good PR, but aviation is not Reality TV, and I imagine Cemair's board, assuming of course that Miles read King's suggestions on an independent board, will have to sanction him for unnecessarily bringing the company into disrepute. He was not doing his job, he actively went out of his way, in a juvenile way, to vent and dress down an aggrieved ex-customer.
