Configuring my Jabiru 170

Unread post by KiloPapa » Wed Jun 26, 2019 9:02 pm

I am a bit of a gadget freak so should try and control myself. A few questions?

So it seems I will go with the Skyview HDX.

What would the other nice to have's be?

What should I have as secondary / back-up?

Must have?

Other options?

Please help!

Opinions?

Thanks

I have the Skyview classic with integrated ap and transponder installed in my J430. If I were to add anything else it would have been the knob control panel with dedicated separate knobs for baro, alt and track/heading. Definitely not an essential item, but a nice to have so that you don’t have to access a menu to configure any one of these essential variables.

Early days of planning.

Will do soon of my plans.

First have to make sure that it will be the 170 and not the 230.

Want it to be LSA.

Something wants me to go for the 230, but can not think what I would want that extra space for................ not a camper, so no sleaping bags etc......... but am I sure where this adventure is taking me?

Thoughts and comments welcome.

I use MGL linked to Auto pilot. Flight plan is done on Easy plan and then transfered to the MGL via SD card. Same plan also copied to tablet with Easy cockpit. Works brilliant and cant think of anything else in this price range that can compare to that
