Use of drones during wildfires

Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), commonly known as a drone and also referred to as an unpiloted aerial vehicle and a remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), is an aircraft without a human pilot aboard.

This Saturday at the Newlands Fire base in Cape Town there will be a lecture at 10h00 on using drone technology to help combat Wildfires.
Lecture will be by Rob Erasmus of Enviro Wildfire Services.

Wow - That's pretty interesting ….

We had a Wildfire on the Links Ridge in JHB....

The Drone provided Live assistance and INFO to firefighters and Neighbours...
