Chris, that's my wife in the pink slippersBleriot wrote: Thu May 14, 2020 12:19 pm And why are wearing pink slippers? Great detail, must have cost a fortune!

The kit cost between 16 and 17k over about a 2 1/2 year period but believe me, worth every cent

I also have the Flying Scotsman which is about half way done, around 12k over a couple years and then the Bounty which my dad collected and has not been started yet, both with an extreme amount of detail

Re: 1/32 scale Lancaster
Thanks for all the nice comments guys. I will update every Sunday as 1: my IT techy is back at work and he has to transfer the pics from my phone to the laptop and 2: my wife has the laptop 99% of the time watching Netflix since my decoder gave up the ghost
Progress is however good as I work on her every day, if I didn't I would be back in that special place Sybrand was talking about with Chris

Some of the model will have aluminum skins but I'll place so the detail is not hidden. As I said in the beginning, I want to do the diorama as a restoration of a Lancaster so there also won't be any cammo scheme on her but I'll probably do all the black on her as it's at the bottom and sides.

Re: 1/32 scale Lancaster
Update as promised.
You'll all notice I missed a row of rivets on the floor panels at the back of the section that goes behind the wings...have a plan for doing those
