RPL requirements with existing CPL

What are the requirements needed to obtain a RPL if a CPL is already held?

Bit off topic, but here in Canada, its a online exam, cost you $10, and you need to register your drone, also a few $’s and off you go for your basic, for an advance license you write another online exam, and do a flight review $100 and off you go. Dont know why its such a big thing in SA.

Yeah, it seems it's pretty much the same in the USA as in Canada, and the UK doesn't differ much either. Locally, I suspect it's a case of "show me the money."

Getting the RPL (multi rotor only, excludes medical) locally averages about R22k (if you want fixed wing with that then add about another R6k to that amount), some more and some less (one training institute, form what I can tell), but not less by that much. Then you have to get the ROC, which they claim only costs a couple of thousand Rand as per Government Gazetted rates (thus CAA costs). In reality it seems as though, as far as I've been able to understand and tell from persons giving feedback on their experiences here and on other media platforms, it isn't do-able for a one-man small business because of the intricacies of the various role requirements and related documentation requirements. It seems to get this done right the first time you require consultants (and another couple of people involved the daily running), that seems to range in the hundreds of thousands of Rand then. Then there is the turn-around time of the SACAA, last I could tell it is measured in years. (You read that right.)

If there are any of you that fall in this category that have successfully completed your ROC by yourself and are an one-man small business, I'd love to hear from you to get some advice / pointers.
