Have a look at all the solid operators in the market at present. None of them started flying yesterday. They all have a long history of operating successfully and some did not even start out as airlines. This guy would just have gone the same route as all the "overnight" startups.

I’ve added Joly Airlines to the original post as one of the mystery startups appearing on my LinkedIn feed. Anyone have info on Shawn Van Der Merwe and Joly Airlines?
