Callsign Registration

Having bought another aircraft, I wanted to apply for a radio license on Thursday, only to find out that the registration number is not on the ICASA system. Sent E-mails to their spectrum licensing department yesterday morning first thing, to ask them to add the number. Still nothing.

Does it take longer than a day to do this, and if not whom could I contact in order to speed things up a tad?

They do not reply to ANY mails. I have yet to get any sort of response, sorry.

Same issue yesterday. New application after change of ownership and reg does not appear in the search when on that page of the online application. Had a ZT and ZU option but not my ZS?? So what I did was leave it as unknown and instead put my reg and type in the aircraft details box on the right. Have submitted it and uploaded proof of payment. You can fly with the proof of payment in your docs instead.

hi Frik - it is not per sacaa regulations to fly with only the proof of payment. just so you are aware. please contact me ashleigh@midcoastair.co.za for assistance - there are so many people struggling
