Hi, does anyone know these aircraft? Does anyone know their histories and maybe have some old photos?

I flew ZS-EXV for the first time in February of 1986, from Wonderboom to Lanseria and back. Then on the 4th of March 1986, I flew it to PE with a stop at Bloem. :D

ZS-EXV was owned by Richard Carolin and based at FAVP in the late '80's early 90's where I flew her on a few occasions, lovely little 140. It was also Richard that painted her in her current colour scheme. She later ended up at FAVV for a MPI where some fault was found in the engine and she remained there with her engine removed for some time. If my memory is correct that would have been around '95. After that I lost track as I left the Vaal area.

If I may ask why the interest??

ZS-AKS was owned by Jose Lima and Andre de Kok (now CAA accident investigator....those days Kempton College lecturer)...about 84-86

Flew with Andre de Kok in AKS then doing video footage of the stall characteristics for his "aero-D" lecture at the college....had the wing prepared with lots of wool tufts to be able to visualize the airflow.....that was when I was in N6 at the college in 85.

Given the information and photos that have been promptly and freely given by several Avcommers, I think the least Cherokee 140 owes is an answer to the very polite question posed by all responders: "Why do you ask?".

That's OK any info on the aircraft in their fleet is welcome. Flew most of the Cherokees, except for ZS-FDN. The heading has been changed to most of the aircraft in the fleet not enough space for ZS-MHA, ZS-BJH and ZS-MYG

I did my training on two of the aircraft, got my licence on ZS-EXV. Did a conversion to C172 on ZS-VIR

The real question should be "Would you WANT to fly any of the aircraft listed ?

Me - you will not catch me in any of them
I was not always this sarcastic.

It took me years of dealing with A-holes to get this good at it...

Again DL the question would need to be asked, WHY??? I have only flown ZS-EXV so cannot vouch for the others but I found her to be a neat little aerie!! Again that was some time ago.
