Phantom 3 Pro advice needed

Unread post by FHV »

I have a DJI Phantom 3 Pro which I have not flown for more than two years. Recently I fired it up and found that though the drone flies from the TX, I cannot link the android tablet that I always used and get no picture (have tried other android devices but the same thing happens). Does anyone have any suggestions ? Could it be that my software is so outdated that it doesn't "see" the drone anymore ? I have tried deleting the App off the tablet and reloading it but that doesn't make a difference.

It may be relevant that about three years ago I got Drone World to install a "long range " antenna (total waste of time and money!) which I used for about six months before getting gatvol of lugging the now bulky TX around and I stopped flying the drone.

Before I tried flying again recently I took the "long range" piece of cr@p off and refitted the original bunny ear antennas. Maybe the TX needed re-configuring afterwards ??

I'm loath go back to the crowd that sold me the "upgrade" because I'm annoyed that they sold me a system that they promised would give me six km range and all it did was increase my range by 400 m despite going back to them three or four times, this apart from all the other stuffing around I was subjected to. (I wanted the long range because I wanted to use the drone off my boat far out at sea for finding gamefish -tunny etc)

Any suggestions or point me in the direction of someone in Cape Town (not DW) who can sort it out?

If you using the original cable, tablet, etc. it should work. Don't use DJI GO 4. That won't work with the Phantom 3.
What goes up must come down, eventually, except your age.
