Does anyone know what the current status is of CRJ2 7924 for KEM ? Arrived JNB on 8 September as N8924B. I have found out that a KEM CRJ2 ZS-CMD did an air test at JNB on 30 Nov and entered service to CPT about a week later. On the surface this would seem to suggest that the CRJ1 is back from Proflight Zambia lease and back on its old ZS reg, but this is not so, because 9J-PZA is still active and is noted regularly from FPLs flying into CPT so there's clearly a 'new' ZS-CMD here and 7924 seems to be the likely candidate unless the JNB locals know better?

I think its showing up as Hex code 0089D3
Flightradar thinks that may be ZS-DSC
Yes thanks I'm aware of what FR shows - I am the editor . The reg is decoded from the old algo, it's not real. The plane is ZS-CMD but that means there are now 2 of them, unless KEM have now disposed of the CRJ1 entirely, which is what I am trying to establish from the locals here.

Thanks for the confirmation
Will now try and spot it visually since we know which one it is

It is currently heading to CPT again, so should be back at JNB between 1400-1430z (4 to 4.30 pm local time).

Original ZS-CMD now 9J-PZA with Proflight which is active, so maybe Cemair sold it to Proflight and the new 'CMD' taken up the old ''CMD' spot?
Yes, that was my best guess as I said in my earlier post, but usually CEM gets them back after lease (obvs) and puts them back on their old ZS-reg if de-reg to a different country, so this is a rather peculiar siutation and brings into the question the current ownership status of the original CRJ1 currently with PFZ.

I also think that's ZS-CMD.
Yes, as I already said above ZS-DSC is the old algo reg and was entered as a placeholder until the reg could be confirmed. It's since been changed to ZS-CMD.

You are correct. CMD is ex-N8924B. CRJ2.
CMK coming on line soon. Ex-Sudan Bluebird lease. CRJ1.
