The Mustang was of course a complete failure until they fitted the British Rolls Royce Griffin Engine.

:D IT’S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

Last few paint layers, applying of decals and final touches. Looks likely that this time next week ZU-MTG will roll out at Robin Coss Aviation.

The pictures shown is the last of what I received from Robin, he will no longer provide an update until I return home - FACT. :D

OK! Spoiler ALERT...

Let me share the latest update regarding project timing. Not quite yet complete but definitely close to the end of a long wait... Christmas perhaps [-o<

What has happened the last month:

  • Fuselage - Painted (upper nose to leading edge windshield to be painted saturn black)
  • Fuselage - Doors (upgraded using firm honeycomb bonded to the inner side), fitted with gas struts (stops that annoying flapping around in the wind)
  • Undercarriage - Gear doors (honeycomb upgrade, painted and fitted)
  • Wings - Painted, bolted to Center section, all lights tested successfully on first Try (Aveo wing wag)
  • Center to Fuse - Fairings require minor adjustment (ready for paint)
  • Tail - elevator balanced, camera installed (fairings ready for paint)
  • CAA - Aircraft Reg reserved, Radio license, ADSB Tx code, ELT code - DONE
