Wanted: BushBaby in reasonable condition

Unread post by Globemaster »

I’m looking at getting a KitFox/BushBaby that is reasonably maintained and in a flying condition.

Want to test the waters and see what is out there in the South African market before committing to a purchase.

Its like asking how long a piece of string is. I think the biggest question here is how long is your string? With a R200k budget you will maybe get a reasonable 582. With a R700k budget you could get a mk 1 or mk2 Explorer. For R600-700k you could get a complete factory re-build 912 BB

Thank you Stefan
It will be around the R200k mark, so the 582 sounds about right.
Shoot me a PM if you know of any around in the market.

I have helped a friend purchase a nice bushbaby in the passed 2 weeks. Looking at half a dozen options but there is nothing out there close to R200K which we came across. I'm afraid your best options are starting at R250K to R300 for a 65hp Bushbaby.

Why not consider 1 of 2 Jora's available at the moment. You cannot get better value for money right now. At R180K a Jora is a massive amount of aircraft for the price. But if you can push your budget to R250K and I could link you up with some potential buyers for a Bushbaby. There is also a 80hp Bushbaby for R350K which is again good value at that price.
