SACAA part 71 medical requirement changes

Unread post by Trevor Duane »

I haven't posted anything here for a while. I can't possibly see how this can have a negative outcome but I am not going to hold my breath on that. :roll:

There is now a part 71 in effect and I would like to highlight in particular subsection 2 refers to medical requirements for the issue of an RPL license

(b)

hold at least—

(i)

a valid Class 3 medical certificate for a B-VLOS operation or Class 3 or higher RPAS operation; or

(ii)

a self-declared medical assessment report as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 67 for all other class or type of operation;

I hope you see this as an indication of the SACAA taking steps towards more suitable requirements for the RPAS industry.
