I am a big fan of Airlink, think they are doing a great job of turning adversity into advantage.

They fly most places I want to go and I def prefer them.

Great ac, crews and reliability!

I see that one of their RJ85s was test flown yesterday. I wonder who she's been sold to.

OY-YEG E195 is now registered ZS-YDA, suspect the other 2 will be ZS-YDB and C.

I hope they paint the E170's in the new livery, would like to get pics.

Airlink from Walvisbay to Joburg 18 Aug and back on 28th.
Aircraft in excellent condition.
All clean and no broken plastics or seats.
Most friendly staff that you could get on a flight.
I did not eat but food looked good and everyone finished what they got.
Crew communicated with us pax about turbulence expected in a friendly manner.
Landed on the minute both ways although they expected a headwind back to Walvisbay.
My wife required a wheelchair after two back operations and the personnel escorted us
through immigration and customs with baggage collect , up to our people who came to fetch us both ways.

THANK YOU ROGER AND TEAM.

Johan

ns: tickets are bit expensive- only negative compared to last year.

Airlink's service is absolutely something else. Not just the on board product, but it seems that it's the entire operation.

Family of mine were travelling from the UK via JHB to PE. Like a lot of people they booked as far as JHB then separately to PE, so two separate tickets. They arrived horribly late in JHB for their connection and after checking online realised that unless they left their checked in luggage, there were no flights available to fly later to PE. So net result is they left their bags and ran with the kids.

Airlink had zero obligations to assist them, as the Airlink flight was on a separate ticket. But they got them rushed to the aircraft, and then got their bags sent to PE on the flight later in the afternoon. I was absolutely shocked when I heard this. Airlines by nature have to stick to policies, etc etc... but they made a plan and as a result have within our family for sure, massive fans.

What is amazing is that this is the type of service you expect from small businesses and yet Airlink have still managed to keep so many of the personal touches and services as they have grown! They have taken on a huge number of new staff and aircraft in the last few years, yet still have the touch of a small carrier! It says something about pride and leadership!

ZS-YDA c/n 190.00765 ex OY-YEG
ZS-YDB c/n 190.00766 ex OY-YRH

These two were registered in August 2022.
