Whirly.
He was the main or only shareholder in McDonald's South Africa. Not sure about Burger King, but it doesn't look like it.

:lol: :lol: This bring back sweet memories. We used to stuff 20-30 Chappies in our mouths at once to have enough reading material for a couple of minutes. I even won a Chappies competition back then and the price was a shoe box full of Chappies. :D Must start chewing Chappies again!

There I agree. Especially in the drier areas like the Karoo for lamb and Kalahari/Nam for beef =P~ . Free range of course.

Interestingly enough their patties are made in SA (Burger King)

Just for the record I never eat BK or McD, maybe once every 2 years...

Don't think its the molding thing. After all they used to be made in SA> My guess applies to all the products mentioned in this thread that are now foreign made.

too expensive to have made in SA or is it also a casualty from that Cadbury halaal saga? It originated from the US.
