Radio Licence vailidity?

Unread post by DoctorGonzo »

I am an ex PPL pilot that is now involved in Paragliding. Completed my restricted radio licence way back in 2000 but am unsure if this licence remains valid as long as I have a valid NPL or if it must be renewed? If someone could advise or point me to the relevant legislation would be much appreciated.

As long as you achieved your restricted radio license by means of a language proficiency test score of 6 (most likely) it will remain valid with the SACAA indefinitely. If it was achieved with a higher education certificate and an affidavit then it was valid for 1 year as far as I can remember, but pretty sure on that point.
