Re: Good seller Jurgen.
Hi. Thanks for the post..can you plz tell me one thing...:..what is the standard here for buying/selling of items here..as a buyer, do I have to pay whole amount in eft to seller and then he ships product or 50 percent after delivery..?..what do you generally do and any idea what other avcommers here do..?..generally , people in aviation community are all educated so after making payment, most of time , buyer gets its items ?....Ricoby wrote: Wed Jul 12, 2023 5:14 pm Experience: Good

Also,.I am looking to buy a new aircraft....but all sellers appear far away from my area..in such a case, for purchase inspection, do I have to fly to sellers place or he comes here..?..in latter case, do I have to pay for the fuel..?..is it better to just call him to fly at my place so that on spot I can make payment and atleast have physical possesion of aircraft to avoid any potential scam..?.. ..and generally how much is cost of pre-purchase inspection in an AMO...?..and how much time does it take..?..is it a 1 day affair or a long 5 day affair(like an MPI)?..

Re: Good seller Jurgen.
Generally, I make full payment to the seller, including agreed postage amount. Most people here are good honest people, with a few scammers taking chances. If you cannot go personally to view an item, ask on Avcom for anyone who knows the seller. Also ask the seller where he flies and you can maybe make contact with his club through their Facebook or website. Also look at the sellers profile on Avcom. If he's been around here for a while, check his previous posts and you can see what type of person he is by his posts. That is all I can suggest. I have had nothing but good experiences on this site. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it most probably isn't true.
