Re: First Autonomous autorotation
Great stuff, now all they need to do is add the ability to select a safe landing area in the absence of a nice long runway straight ahead. Fly by wire??

Re: First Autonomous autorotation
They have a way to go.
If a light helicopter could auto dump the collective and hold a stable rpm, it could go a long way to improve safety or rather how many aircraft survive the attempt in the shape it originally started out as.
Still, reasonable achievement in a Bobbinson.

Or they could design helicopters to meet a sensible pilot intervention delay time specification in the event of an engine failure.cage wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 3:31 pmThey have a way to go.
