Hi George,

I have a small 8" Samsung tablet which I use Airnav Pro on. The main reason I chose it is because I like the overall interface and the maps that you can purchase for it looks the same as the ones you'd buy from the pilot shop.

On the same device I also have SafelyTrackMe which I use to share my live location with the Mrs via a flight following groups on Whatsapp...
Don't worry, I'm from the QUARRY...

I use an Ipad Mini with Easy Cockpit.

This must be the most comprehensive maps available for South Africa
Even the smallest runways on farms are on the maps
Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and promoted by the mainstream media which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of $h!t by the clean end.

I'm glad you raised this issue because it gives me the chance to address it.

I thought of writing this part in Afrikaans but it might be beyond my relatively limited tweetaligheid and then I end up making things worse. Please be aware that a certain party went out of his way to misrepresent what I said in order to make trouble for me as he has been doing for years, including regular complaints to the mods over nonsense about which they have never sanctioned me, proving it was just silly. He made it sound awful but social media is not a very easy place to start arguing about stuff in detail and it was all off topic.

I was simply trying to find out whether Afrikaans-speakers were more likely to support Israel than English-speakers. This against the sort of info where, for example, Muslims are, obviously, more likely to be supporters of Palestinians (and probably even Hamas). And if it was true I wondered what historical fact would account for the difference in approach. I truly believe that this is not a crime against humanity but simply a curious mind wondering why certain things happen and other things don't.

My buurman en ek braai gereeldelik saam. Ek moet hier erken daar is een probleem tussen die twee van ons. Hy is van Pretoria uit en ondersteun die Blou Bulle. Anders is hy heelwat beskaafd  .

Ek het lang jare deurgebring in the Noord-Transvaal. Op daai tyd was daar min Engels-sprekendes daar. Ek het nooit 'n probleem gehad met mense wat 'n ander taal praat as ek.

I don't think I ever caught game on a farm that wasn't owned by an Afrikaaner. Ons het altyd lekker saamgewerk.

You can believe someone who has spent years stalking me on Avcom, who has many times twisted my words to try and make me look bad (when I can always do that for myself  ) or you can accept my explanation here.

I'm a proud South African who really enjoys many of the cultural way of doing things by my fellow South Africans and, yes, that includes Afrkaners, bv, 'n lekker gesellige tyd rondom die braai vuur. I even enjoy our crazy history etc etc etc.

Dis my storie - use it or lose it, it's up to you.

EDIT: Obviously if you're a supporter of the other party and consider me to be a seriously deranged liberal this probably won't ring any bells but we can always live in hope that reason will prevail

I have been using Ozrunways, for the last couple of months and have really been impressed. It is not perfect, but I find it better than the Garmin or Foreflight apps
