Ok, but you are also making a fool of yourself.
Why are you still here btw. You threatened us dozens of times that you are leaving but, nothing yet!!
Are you back or not??
Yes 10 000.
Why are you still hiding!?
Frans

I am still here as I have been communicating with various members / Mods outside of Avcom - including Roger to ventilate my concern.
I have asked for what Argonaught has described for a long time - yet to date - the Management and Mods of this site have not seen fit to effectuate it.

Am I back ? - only for topics such as this - in the hope we can get back to the old Flying Pub.
All the other threads do not interest me at this point.

10.000 posts in sight - for someone that has very little or no flying experience but now has the gall to tell the experienced flyers on the forum to fukc off - and has no interest in explaining what his aviation experience or interest is - that is astonishing .... and one of the main problems we are currently discussing on Avcom.

I have no idea what you are implying with "hiding".
I have no interest in participating on threads due to all the reasons explained and visible in these threads (some you will not have read as they were explained in PM's to people other than you / in order to ask for the same argonaught has written).

As Jim Davis stated - I have no other intent as to popping in once in a while to see whether anything has changed
If not - I will remain outside the "pub".

Actually it seems pretty easy to steady the boat:

Everyone - even non-pilots - are welcome into Academy as long they are truthful about who they are (their name doesn't have to be real) but the rest of the stuff must be true. If you are caught bull-sitting on your crib sheet you will be bunged out - for ever.

The same for the mods.

Is that too much to ask, Roger?

I am only quoting your text .......

And what are you implying with "hiding ??"
HJK are my initials and I owned a C414 / nothing more complicated to it.

Perhaps explaining your flying experience is not so complicated either ?

Then we can stop polluting this thread

If so, that is possible.

Indeed Roger - the stuff you would learn in the first ten minutes after meeting someone in a flying club pub. Their name (optional); their nickname; where they live; their age; their position and connection with aviation - eg working as a loadmaster in Paris to get experience and earn money towards Com. Their hobbies and other interests - photography, fishing, vintage cars etc. It's then easier to get to know the guy or girl and perhaps connect through a hobby.

I feel that if they are not prepared to disclose basic stuff like that then then they are not welcome to join Academy - but will be fine in the other sections of Avcom.

So if we want to stay in Academy we must all answer this basic stuff, and it must be available for all to see. It's not a big deal - we all do it every day when meeting new people.

You will never get it because its all about you! How many youngsters do you see active on the forum? Almost nothing... Why do you think its that? Its because of guys like you my friend! (wink) I will never forget how you tore Avcom member JP Schults apart for trying to circumnavigate the world. You were nasty as hell!! You showed your true colors there. So get a grip on yourself or start your own group. Maybe you are the problem on Avcom and nobody else.

Joh! :?
Why do you think no youngster(the future of ga) wants to join this forum? JP is only a one of many youngster that got booted of Avcom by the Dirty Dozen. JP is a worldwide mentor for young aviators but got kicked of Avcom by the same guys who are unhappy about god knows what. Shame on you!

Being a mod is an unpaid job - yes, its a job......

I am not associated to the mods in any way whatsoever but I can tell you that it's a thankless task...

Much better for people to simply come on here without the keyboard warrior mentality, basic respect and a healthy understanding of the rules (this is more of a note to self really)

To update my previous summary as we would like to bring this discussion to a close:

Summary of this discussion:
  • There is no support for changing the T&Cs, whether the global ones or individual forum based ones.
  • Some support for a 'closed/by invitation only' forum.
  • Contributors to the Academy to ensure their extended profile (still to be developed) Is complete.
The last two points will be polled to gauge our communities overall support for the proposals. May also add a 3rd proposal in regarding the humour aspect in the Academy, mostly as it was the original trigger point of this entire discussion.

Will leave this topic open for another day. Respectfully request for no furher personal attacks. They will be deleted.
