FAVR-Vredendal
Fellow aviators, need to fly down to FAVR (Vredendal) in the not too distant future-any info on the airfield, will have to overnight so is it safe, or perhaps hanger space or a contact number if possible please

Belle Ombre guest house provided lifts to airfield. Very quiet but decent runways when I was last there in July ‘23. Left plane parked outside on apron in front of hangars as couldn’t find any contacts for a hangar

Vredendal has 2 airfields. Vredendal Old and Vredendal New. Old is the one with hangars, runways are dirt. It’s SW of the town.This is the one to head for even though it’s not really being looked after. New is NE of the town and has a tar strip. It was also built next to the township. I don’t think anybody uses it?
