A few from me while the boffins are in processing ...... :)
Weather was a bit tough, serious crosswind when we landed Friday lunchtime and then it rained a bit too

Very VERY nice shots there Bob. Do you shoot RAW? Your Harvards under the palm is nicely framed and the light reflection makes for nice photography.

The weather /wind at Mossel Bay is a bugger! We had a cross runway (which I've used) but unfortunately a rather large structure perhaps makes its use now "unwise" - more so though for take off. In a strong crosswind, I'd use it for landing - for sure.

Horace, Bob is not such a newbie as he want us to believe. I regard him above average when it comes to aviation photos. He has posted already while I'm still struggling to recover from the strain of the weekend.

Nice photos Bob. From your photos one can clearly see what difference proper direct sunlight does to colour saturation. Overcast skies should technically dampen your shadows and make for a softer photo, but the scatter due to moisture kills the colour.

Thanks guys. I actually like the overcast conditions as it lengthens productive shooting time. Heat of the day shooting sucks.

Yes I do shoot in raw Horace. Most of those were >20Mb each initially ........ The beach shot was from the lawn at the Gannet - wrong lens on the camera, correct lens back at the hotel - but could not resist, so there you have it. Very difficult shot to get right in that light, but a couple actually worked.

The crosswind was tough and right there on the poor Jabbie's limits. Will have a closer look at the cross strip if it happens again. How long and wide is it by the way?
Best wishes,
Bob

There are photos, but since I now supply to the media I have to hang back on posting. Not good to read an article in print to find the pictures have been floating around for a week or three and are old news.
