Does not seem that anyone with a camera was at the EAA convention, or perhaps it did not happen!!

We were there too, but I have to keep my photos off the web until my article has run in Pilots Post before I can let rip.ibeaton wrote:Does not seem that anyone with a camera was at the EAA convention, or perhaps it did not happen!!

Perhaps you did not make the cut though as there was nothing in their mid week update

Re: Seen at FAMO (Mossel Bay)
I do not go for the midweek updates for my contributions since I normally only come back from a weekend at an event on Sunday night. That mean I have to rush off a report which will in any case be available long before any paper report. The EAA 2016 report was published last night. http://pilotspost.co.za/arn0000968Bearcat wrote:Am looking forward to seeing your pics..jab2 wrote:We were there too, but I have to keep my photos off the web until my article has run in Pilots Post before I can let rip.ibeaton wrote:Does not seem that anyone with a camera was at the EAA convention, or perhaps it did not happen!!

All of them!
I did not do too much because I tested a gimbal with my Sony compact which mostly shoots underwater stuff...
I also did some landscapes but that is probably not for this forum even though it was in Mossel Bay...

To be fair, my keepers rate was fairly low but not TERRIBLE. Lots of half-an-aircraft and plenty just slightly fuzzy but that is to be expected at 1/200 with a FOVC of 1.5 on a "56mm" lens. Panning with a landing a/c so close it does get more challenging with a longish prime and yes, I could have upped the shutter speed but that would have given me frozen prop blades...
I always like to get as much prop blur as possible.
X-T3 with 56/1.2 lens, ISO 200, f/11 and shutter 1/200.
