Great to have seen the documentary on Carte Blanche last night. Proud to actually have been there the morning of 4/12/2010 when it happened. Wonderful experience I will cherish forever > =D>

Yup. Although I found the Carte Blanche footage to be a bit frustrating - they could've shown more on the startup, taxi, takeoff and flyby at the final destination. Oh well, at least it got coverage. I also felt privelaged to have been there on the final morning, to take a walk through the interior and see the guys hard at work performing last minute adjustments, checks and refuelling. The fact that the aircraft was enshrouded in mist added to the overall ambiance. Trully a "lump in the throat" moment I'll never forget. =D> Thanks to the owners for preserving her in flying condition i.e. not cutting the main spars and transporting her by road.. :D

Discovered this photo taken the night before she flew out of Swartkop. Mike M and the team still had some fouled plugs to sort out and it went on well into the night. Will never forget the sight and sound. Amazing
