As jy op daai mooi teer aanloopbaan wil land, moet jou Jabbie flikkers en nommerplate he!

Ek wonner so biki oor daai aanloopbaan Ek hoor die anner dag daar op Kitty Hawk oom Boerkie hulle se manier van opstuig is om net te rotate en dan eers laag oor die boorde te duik vir spoed voor opgetrek word Hoe lank issi ding ? Hier tussen ons is ou,s wat 200 kg op die voorseat laai en 100 kg oppi agterseat (en vol tenks en n paar kaste rooiwyn) 8-[As die boom spasieering 4 meter is,is dit 400 m (gelukkig sien ek geen sekelbos daar nie )

Moenie nou bang trek nie. 750meter is die lengte. Ek (100kg), broer Hagar(hy vul alle orige spasie aan die binnekant) en vol brandstof maak dit lekker vroe innie oggend.

Lekka man Boerkie,ek en Walter kombineer op 230 daar voor maar gelukkig gaan hy nou universiteit toe.(sy ma issi vet nie)Lyk my ok darem afdraende en na Len hulle laas ons enjin "getune" het stuig ek en Walter nou hier (3000 ft)25 c op by 370m (afdraende)

Hi Guys, I'm a heli pilot currently and busy with my fixed wing ppl. I'm keen to buy a Jab SP/UL120 to run around in when i'm done.
Can anyone offer advice as to whether it is worth upgrading the spec to the 3300 engine - would I be likely to achieve a much better cruise speed? I'll be doing faily regular trips of 200nm, on my own mostly. Anyone have experience with the taildragger models - how do these compare to the standard tricycle gear? I don't see many taildraggers around, but I like the look of them.

Only 1 taily around to my knowledge.

But I think you must start this under new heading, 'cos we don't visit here often..

On advise of Anton Valks, posting on this thread too.

I'm not a Jabiru owner, but have been following your "family" over the years.

In 2017 a few "other" planes were allowed to join in your fun arround the coast.

I'm hoping that it might be allowed again this year.

I am sure with the reputation of the first Botswana tour , that there will not be a shortage in filling the group with Jabiru's.

But on the odd chance that there is a spot available at the end, (or a cancelation) - please keep me in mind.
( a low hour blik driver, that loves Botswana)

Dear Jaco

As a VERY long time Jabi driver I am in the same boat as you. I recently "down graded" to a RV10

I have only missed 2 Jabi tours. One due to shoulder opp and the other due to work pressure. The rest I tagged along to pester the rest with naughtyness and some champion snoring

I get the feeling I am being faced out at this time more for my snoring than for my choice of aircraft.

Soooooo same as you I am appealing a spot on this tour

If at all possiable I would like to book a spot regardless what I drive please........
