Safari with Jabiru 3300 engine, Woodcomp VP Prop, MGL EFIS etc etc

We did a wing load on a Safari LSA up to 600kg@4g limit load. All went as expected. This wing can take much more.

ZU-FMD or Frikkin Mooi Ding has officially taken to the air yesterday. Beautiful mashine. She is a true 100 mph cruiser. At 110 mph I was burning 16,2l/hr. At 100mph 14,5l/hr and at 80mph 10,5l/hr. Stall has to be explored properly but I did a couple of stalls today at 550kg and without flap she mushes at 34mph with full flap 30mph but there is no stall break, she just decscend at 700fpm.

What a lekka plane. We have done just over 50 trouble free hours so far. The stalls were explored properly and she stall indicated at 34mph in landing config and 40mph clean at 600kg. No stall wing breaks only a high rate of descent with ample buffet warning before the stall onset.
Will be visiting Alldays and Nylstroom for the okes that want a flip.

Dankie, ek geniet dit baie om hierdie een te vlieg. Sy hanteer soos 'n droom. Het vanmiddag weer in een van daai storm sterk x winds geland wat die alaska pilot's sal laat skaam kry. X wind component was meer as 28mph sonder probleme
