These days if you tried that with those "little runts" you'd likely end up with a dozen shivs in your back as they quaff mega sized cans of Strongbow like it was cooldrink

The discipline of "do not touch" was so drummed into me as a kid that today (I am now 58) I still find myself automatically clutching my hands behind my back whenever I walk up to an exhibit of any sorts. Fortunately my kids, who are all now also adults, have the same discipline.

This is what I found today:

"Notable transatlantic flights of the 21st century" on Wikipedia!!!! - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transatlantic_flight. Congrats guys, you deserve a mention on the world's biggest encyclopedia. Was great seeing you at Waterkloof. It was great chatting to Jean about the flights and what impressed me the most was the Sling 4 with it's "Battle Scars". It was great to see we are dealing with a company that has nothing to hide. It was amazing standing around and listening to the comments of the non believers. Comments like, impossible, seriously??? Amazing etc! Well Done!!!!!

Naaahhh, he's got better things to do - they are building a low-wing six-seater to fly to the moon!

Ahem - I am afraid its my fault.

I was so blown away by Jean's writing that i persuaded him to write the final chapter for SAF, AND ITS EVEN BETTER THAN I HOPED!
(Plus there is new material from the Pacific leg that they were too scared to talk about before.)

I have cut it down to a 4100 word saga that is incredibly gripping and with some so far unseen photies - so you will just have to wait a week or two.

From the EAA story:
The eventual production model will weigh approximately 1,500 pounds and feature a longer fuselage, larger wings, 115-hp turbo-charged Rotax 914 UL engine, and a Warp Drive constant-speed propeller to reach altitudes of 15,000 feet.
I didn't know they were going to change the design?
