In that case if the ride is free then I might just treat myself.

gear up wrote:I am doing my CPL and currently on 170 hours with a night rating as well as ive done some really useful cross country hours such as a cross the border flight into Maputo and lots of flights between Dbn-Jhb-Bloem etc..... Everywhere i read, i see comments that its a good thing to do an aerobatics rating as well so the big question to everyone is.... WHERE CAN I DO A TAILDRAGGER CONVERSION AND DO A AEROBATIC COURSE/RATING AS WELL? I dont mind going anywhere in the country for the best training......? Your advice will be much appreciated :)
My flying history (or lack thereof) looks uncannily similar to that of ‘gear up’s and I agree with him. If you read academy and flight safety in particular, time and time again the experts recommend some aerobatic (and even some gliding) training for various reasons.
Now it seems that gear up’ has come right at Virginia. I'm not that concerned about a taildragger converstrion, for now, but is there any flight school or other which can be recommended to provide an aerobatic rating/training here in Gauteng?
Thnx

Hi F20

Ayre Aviation have entered an agreement with Babcock Central Flying Academy to allow us to use the Super Decathlon for training in Gauteng on an ad hoc basis. The aircraft comes up regularly for competitions and I am one of the pilots that flies the aircraft in these competitions. I am also instructor rated on this aircraft. Please PM me if you would like to discuss the options. :D
